The short version

Some links on this site, and in our videos and posts, are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. Prices are the same either way.

Who we earn from

GridDownSurvive.com takes part in affiliate programs, including:

  • Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
  • My Patriot Supply. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through our links.
  • Other programs we may add. If we add one, this page will say so.

Where you will see affiliate links

  • The Gear page. Most product links there are affiliate links.
  • Articles and guides that point to gear.
  • Videos and social posts. When a video or post features a product we may earn from, we say so on screen, in the caption, and in the pinned comment.

What affiliate money does not do

  • It does not change what you pay.
  • It does not decide what we cover. We only recommend products we believe in and would use for our own family. If a product does not make that cut, we say so, whatever the commission would have been.
  • It does not change our editorial content. Facts in our guides and videos are checked against sources, not against what pays.

Our own products are not affiliate links
